Volunteers are making a difference by touching the hearts of the children at the orphanages in Kenya. The school orphanages in Kenya we visit are located in the foothills of Mount Kenya. In the mornings it is often dewy or rainy and cold. The children needed just a little extra clothing to keep warm. A group of ladies from the states of Washington and Oregon, USA have reached out to meet this need and are making sweaters, hats and scarves to give these children the little extra warmth they need.
The gift of giving to help improve others living conditions is truly a Christ like model that these women demonstrate in their daily lives. They take the time to carefully and with love choose the right colors, sizes and patterns to create beautiful, knitted and crocheted pieces of clothing to bless these children. Each piece is made and given with love as an act of Christ's love and His call to reach out to the needy, poor and orphans.

We salute these wonderful volunteers and their labor of love to bless others:
Mary Freepons
Betty Lahatt
Carol Elder
Lois Lyon
Jannette Smith
Lee Schmidt
Evelyn Schell
Marge Mackey
Erin Fischer
Florence Stephens
Sandra

And a special thank you to those who have donated yarn to this project: Gail Siefert, Shirley Cornwell, Zina Mae Chesley, Kim Nolt, Sharon Getchell and many others who have also contributed. Thank You.

As founders and President of Grace in God's Hands Ministries they believe in team ministry and have committed to serve the Lord together. Sharing a common compassion of reaching out to the lost, widows and orphans they daily reach out as prayer warriors, activist for the needy and with boldness spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Being available to come and share about the ministry work to your churches, school or communities is a passion of this ministry team through music, prayer, teaching and preaching. Carol (Himsl) Carlyle began the ministry on June-20-2002 after her heart was touched into action by the ministry out reach in Africa. Being moved into action her desire was to form an organization that could help to get the word out of the needs of the orphans in Africa. Now the ministry outreach has touched over 15 nations internationally, in the form of support as God provides
in goods, funding, and christian mission outreach.

Stephen Carlyle has provided mentoring and support sharing long time missionary reach to over 30 nations around the world. Receiving a Lay Pastors Cerificate along with his wife Carol at Whitworth College opens the doors for being available to share the gospel to groups and churches.
