Hello Dear Friends and Family,

Dr. Weston and I are in Rwanda. I will be flying out of Mombassa next Thursday night, not Nairobi. It is near the International Airport so I will be leaving from there. Yes, it is where the bombing happened yesterday, but I know that God will use us to minister to these hurting people.

I cried today. I'm tired and could use some prayer support right now. We traveled over a 1000 miles in the last three days. Things are wonderful and challenging in Rwanda. It is a nation in recovery and one of hope for prosperity and a future. I will be traveling to Gisenyi tomorrow morning and preach in the afternoon.

I will go without Dr. Weston to the Congo on Sunday. Instead, I will travel with an anointed pastor from the Congo to his powerful church which is located in the cooled lava flows in the city of Goma. They had a volcano erupt last January, covering much of the city. This will be a wonderful time of both giving and receiving.

The most challenging part of this trip are the days before me. I pray for the Holy Spirit to guide me, protect me, give me strength, wisdom, and the right message as I step out in faith and follow the mission that God placed on my heart.

I hope all is well back home. I fasted on Thanksgiving day until late at night when a Bishop from Rwanda provided a late night supper for us. I prayed for our nation and the people who died and sacrificed to make it the wonderful country that it is. I was given the special blessing of seeing what looked like a wild turkey as we crossed over the boarder from Uguanda. It was a good day.

What is Jesus doing through US! Let me tell all of you a few of the wonderful blessing and miracles that I have witnessed these last few weeks. All together 12 boxes of teaching supplies, curriculum, toys for the classrooms, playground equipment, soccer balls, clothing for the Bible college women, notebooks, keyboards, books, Bibles, mirrors, and pencils. All kinds of wonderful blessings have been given to churches, schools, individuals, and various ministries not by my own means, but by so many of you and your efforts who have supported this mission trip. I cannot tell you how grateful these people were as we gave out these gifts from one country, one Christian, one caring person to another. It has blessed these people to know that they are not forgotten and there are people who do care deeply about them, and that they are willing to sacrifice and give out of the goodness of their hearts to help educate and feed these children, men, and women.

At Carol's Royal Kid's Academy we didn't just stock their classrooms. We also provided beans, rice, and enough food to feed 100 children and staff for a week. This is important. Sometimes they are not able to provide a meal for them. I also blessed an individual family with the money that was sent by buying food for them. Since I saw them last February they lost their house, job, and all there furnishings. This pastor and his wife and child lived begging on the streets. They have lost 40 pounds. But now God is restoring their family. They have a home and are helping to set up the new Bible college in Uganda. They smile at how God continues to be faithful.

May God's blessing fall fresh on all of you,

Carol Carlyle
